Club Mykonos is a holiday resort at Langebaan Lagoon. It can be enjoyed all year, whether in winter or in summer. The holiday resort is located on the cliffs with the yacht harbour picturesquely perched below.

Club Mykonos isn't a hotel in the strictest sense. It is much more than that! The Club Mykonos accommodation consists of self catering serviced units called Kalivas (very Greek!). The units are basic but charming. They are emulating the feel of simple Greek island dwellings. The spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed around the excellent braais.

Langebaan Club Mykonos accommodation and facilities are pristine and well maintained, and include a casino, pools, and restaurants. Visitors can enjoy the beach or lie at the pool. Active people can take advantage of everything the lagoon has to offer (from sea kayaking to surfing, sailing, swimming and waterskiing), all in the near vicinity.

Langebaan town itself is about 5 to 10 minutes drive away.

Mykonos resort should appeal to families from Cape Town as there is plenty for children to do. The nicest pool which is right on the shore, has a kiddies section, and just alongside it are jungle gyms and slides and more.

These days property developers have developed the area between Langebaan and Club Mykonos with some really terrible looking soulless gated communities that masquerade as holiday destinations. If it wasn't impossible, I'd suggest closing your eyes whilst driving through these nightmarish developments on your way to Mykonos.

Mykonos caters for day visitors, though some of the facilities are "Residents Only" (like the beach at the front). I'm not entirely sure that a beach can be privatised like this and I'm pretty sure that legally anyone is allowed to use any beach on the sea shore. Not that the Mykonos staff were checking, when I visited as a day visitor.

The casino at Mykonos is popular with day visitors and many tour buses visit.

The restaurants and bars are all on the sea front and have really lovely views.

If you are the kind of person that enjoys a resort holiday or weekend away, then Club Mykonos is a convenient, well priced, neat resort with a spectacular lagoon setting.
